Sweet Memory

We love to stay with Mme Geyer at Le Taillet to break our journey on the way to a small Maison we own in Provence. We have stayed several times with Mme Geyer and she is always so very welcoming. Her farmhouse is very comfortable and she is very helpful in recommending caves to buy wine and restaurants to visit.Mme Geyer provides a lovely breakfast with freshly made ingredients, including her home made preserves!

Tournus is a town in Burgundy on the river Saone.The hills above the river have some pretty villages to visit.

Two restaurants we would recommend are the Meulien which is located near the bridge in Tournus when entering from Mme Geyer's home. The second restaurant is located in the village of Le Villars, which is 4Km from Tournus in the direction of Macon. The restaurant is called L Auberge des Gourmets at placede L' Eglise. Both restaurants offer excellent cuisine and while not cheap represent value for money.
